When you fly to Cyprus, you can go to one of two airports.  You will have the choice of going to Lanarca Airport or Paphos Airport.  When your destination is Limassol, both choices are the same distance to the city.  You will be able to compare ticket prices and pick the one that best fits into your budget.

You will also have different options in regards to how you are going to come into Limassol from the airport.  You want to choose the best method of transportation.  That way, you will be able to travel with ease and efficiency.  You want to be able to get to your accommodations quickly so you can start to have fun, and picking the right mode of transportation will help you do just that.

One method people choose is a taxi.  If you choose to get a taxi at the airport, be prepared for a long line.  There are many people who need a taxi at the airport, but there are only so many taxis.  That means you can get stuck waiting for a long time.  This can be very frustrating when you have just arrived in a new city.  You want to go out and see things, not wait for a taxi.

Also, you will not be dropped off right at your hotel. You will have to walk some with your luggage.  That is not a great way to start a vacation.  No one likes to have to carry their luggage through a city they are not familiar with.

With car hire, you will not have to worry about any of these things.  You will get to leave immediately from the airport, and drive right up to your hotel.  You will cut quite a bit of time off your travel time, which means a lot when you are on vacation.  Most of all, if you rent a car you will have peace of mind.  You will not have to try to get transportation for the rest of the trip.
