Luggage Restrictions

You will not have to worry very much about luggage restrictions when you fly in Cyprus. You can load up on souvenirs without worrying about getting to take them home with you.  Simply put the gifts in your luggage and you will be ready to go.

You will need to check all baggage except for a carry on. You can check as much baggage as you want, but it must be 20 kg or less.  As long as that is the case, you may check everything you want.

That means you might want to bring some extra bags with you in order to bring gifts home with you.  That way, you can bring something home for everyone.

You can bring a carry on onboard the plane as long as it does not interfere with other passengers.  It should fit nicely on your lap or in the overhead compartment.  If it is not small enough to do so, you will not be able to bring it on.  You will then have to check the baggage.

In addition, there is a restriction to the duty free items you can bring on the plan.  You are limited to 400 cigarettes, 500 grams of tobacco, or 50 cigars.  You can bring one liter of wine and up to 100cl of perfume.

As long as you meet these guidelines you will not have a hard time boarding your plane at the airport.  You will be ready to get on your flight and head home with all of the gifts you have purchased on the trip.
